Nutraceuticals and Dietary Supplements Isoflavones - Current Status & Outlook
Isoflavones are phytochemicals which have become well-established as health
food supplements ['nutraceuticals'] for prevention of menopausal syndromes,
osteoporosis and inhibition of various cancers;
Isoflavones are extracted from various soya products [flour, meal, germ, soy sauce]
but soy molasses - by-product from concentrate production -
is the most widely used feedstock from which isoflavones are prepared.
