Toll Fermentation - Opportunities for U.S. & European Companies

In recent years many fermentation companies have become involved in toll manufacture of antibiotics, enzymes, agricultural products, organic acids, amino acids, vitamins and other food/feed additives.

In this survey we have estimated the tolling capacity of European and U.S. companies and what proportion of total fermentation capacity this represents.

Various European and U.S. companies involved in tolling are profiled and their capacities given. The fixed and variable costs of toll fermentation plants are estimated. Selling prices of products made in small and large-capacity plants are analysed.
