Isoflavones – Current Status & Outlook by 2020

Isoflavones are phytochemicals which have become well-established as health food supplements for prevention of menopausal syndromes, osteoporosis and inhibition of various cancers. Isoflavones are extracted from soya products [flour, meal, germ, soy sauce]. Soy molasses – by-product from concentrate production – is the most widely used feedstock from which isoflavones are prepared.
Producers of isoflavones , their products and feedstocks used are listed. The output of isoflavones is estimated, prices are reviewed and the market is determined. The projected market by 2020 is given.
