Formic Acid – Current Status and Outlook by 2020

Formic acid or hydrogen carboxylic acid, HCOOH, is a strongly caustic acid produced synthetically either from hydrocarbons or carbon monoxide. The principal use of formic acid is a preservative in feed grains and silage.
