Carbohydrate Feedstocks for the Fermentation Industry – Current Status and Outlook by 2020

The total consumption of carbohydrate raw materials [i.e. molasses, glucose syrups, sugar, and starch] for fermentation products, including: organic acids, amino acids, enzymes, antibiotics, polysaccharides and yeast are analyzed. Prices of feedstock in the U.S. and E.U. are compared on a ferment ability basis. The cost contribution of feedstock to the price of the fermentation product is determined. The projected demand for specific feedstock by 2020 is estimated
